Where Do I Start?
If you’re new to belly dance, the best place to begin is Belly Dancing for Beginners.
This class is designed specifically for brand-new dancers and those returning to fundamentals in a welcoming, supportive environment. No experience is required.
As students continue their training, they may choose to progress into higher-level classes or explore optional performance opportunities such as the Emerald Coast Caravan. Advancement is never rushed—each dancer moves forward at their own pace.
Most students begin in Beginner and decide what’s next once they feel confident and comfortable.

Class Descriptions:
Belly Dancing for Beginners:  Have you always wondered how in the world Belly Dancers can move the way they do?  This class introduces the fundamentals of this captivating ancient dance art, focusing on posture, basic movements, and enjoying the music, while fostering confidence and self-expression.  Appropriate for all fitness levels.  No prior dance or Belly Dance experience required.
Suggested Attire:  Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for working out.  Although not required, you may tie a scarf around your hips (fringed shoulder shawl is an inexpensive option).  Students may dance barefoot or wear dance shoes such as ballet slippers or jazz dance sneakers.

Emphasis will be placed on personal development, stagecraft, performance skills and improvisational skills.
